Enclosed By You

Every once in a while I come across a song that really strikes a chord with my heart. “Enclosed By You” by the Christian rock band Telecast is one of those songs, singing of God’s unrelenting desire to be with us, even as we focus our energy elsewhere.

Enclosed By You

By Telecast (play)

Will you stay with me
When I forget you’re there
Will you still love me
When my love lingers elsewhere

I here you softly speaking
The secrets lying close
Words that softly linger
With sweet repose

And I will never leave you
Leave you waiting round
Cause I am the one that’s been waiting
For you to turn around
For you to turn around

And how can I contain you
When you contain everything
The house of my soul
Is far too small
And still I’m the same

I hear you softly speaking
The secrets that enclose
Word that softly linger
With sweet repose

And I will never leave you
Leave you waiting round
Cause I am the one that’s been waiting
For you to turn around
For you to turn around

Enclosed by you
Enclosed I see
I am in you
And you are in me
And you are in me
